There is no courage in the absence of fear, the same way there is no power/strength where there is no resistance or limitation - because there is nothing to exert it against as means of establishing reference points for comparison.

Hierarchy is established by means of at least two points of difference in reference to one another. A position to climb to and a position to fall to - a top and a bottom, or an up and a down, are required. Both positions can exist alone, but with the vanishing of one side, so the hierarchy disappears.

Power represents an ability to win out over resistance, as does strength. So we have measurement by the differing weights or resistances available, and the variety of weights or resistances available defines the power/strength groups in existence.

So all powerful is not powerful at all, because there is no greater exertion in doing one thing over any other thing - there is no hierarchy of limitation(no resistances and means of comparing/measuring/weighing them).

Should this logic be accurate, weakness/limitation is prerequisite to both power and strength, and the variety of powers or strengths available are defined by the distance between the lowest and highest points possible in the hierarchy.

Our personal power must then lie in the extent to which we are willing to see ourselves, and even become, vulnerable - furthermore, in our ability to persevere in the face of a threat which grows by means of our own openness.

We must be humble and courageous enough to recognize the extent of our collective and personal vulnerabilities, if we would discover how truly powerful we must be to dare stand in the face of it.

The complete removal of our weakness takes with it completely our power.

Complete ignorance renders us completely powerless because we never discover to what extent we are vulnerable.

Full acknowledgement makes us completely powerful, because we discover just how necessary and numerous our vulnerabilities are.
