ACCOUNT SETTINGS

How can I manage my Account Settings?
To access your Account Settings, click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Once there, you can edit your personal information, view your subscriptions and media library, and access our support documents.

 

How do I reset or change my password?
On the sign-in page, click the Forgot Password button beneath the sign-in field. Submit the email you used to register on thinkspot. An email will be sent to you with a link embedded.  Click to add a new password. Once you have created your new password, you will be prompted to enter it under your email on the sign-in page.

If you are already logged in, you may also change your password by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on Account Settings and then click on Change Password towards the bottom of the page.

 

How do I deactivate or delete my account?
To deactivate or permanently delete your account, click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on Account Settings and then click Deactivate Account or Permanently Delete Account. 

Please note that if you Permanently Delete your account, you will not be able to reactivate your account or re-register with thinkspot using the same email you used before.  Also, any subscriptions you may have purchased will no longer be available to you and will be forfeited.  You will not be able to receive a refund for any subscription purchased. 

 

How do I cancel or stop auto-renewal of a subscription?
To cancel a subscription, click on the profile icon in the upper right corner.   Go to Account Settings and click on the Subscriptions tab. Here, you will find a list of all subscriptions you have purchased.  Click cancel to cancel the auto-renewal for the subscription.  This does not affect access to the Contributor’s content for the duration of the subscription you purchased.

 

Are there any age restrictions?
Yes. You must be at least 18 years old to register as a user.

 

Why am I seeing CAPTCHAs when I sign in?
In order to establish a high standard of security and privacy for the platform, we use Google’s Re-CAPTCHA software. Due to this, there might be times when you try to sign in that you receive multiple CAPTCHA attempts. Don’t worry, this is normal and you should still be able to access your account.

CAPTCHAs are caused for a variety of reasons including: when a browser is detected as a bot, when a user attempts to login from an IP address with sub-optimal standing (VPN's, Tor, bot-nets, etc.), or after rapid sequence login attempts.

 

Why am I not receiving emails from thinkspot?
Please ensure that your email is entered correctly in your Account Settings, which can be accessed by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Additionally, check your spam or junk folder to confirm that emails are not mistakenly being sorted. If you are using Gmail, check your Social and Promotions tabs.

 

PLATFORM FEATURES

How do I access a Forum?
Each Contributor has a Forum.  Access to a specific Contributor’s forum is located on the Contributor’s thinkspot page at the top of the middle column.  Some forums are only available if you have subscribed to that specific Contributor.  There is also a general forum located on TS Channel and  TS Support.

 

How do I access My thinkspot Page?
By clicking on My thinkspot, you can access your dashboard. On the left, you will find all of your Saved Media where you can save your e-books, podcasts, videos, and events. You will also see the Contributors, Users, and Forums you follow.  You will also see who is following you and Streams and Folders you have created. The right side contains shortcuts to upcoming events and trending items.  Along the top, there is a Feeds menu, My profile, and My Activity.  From the Feeds menu, you can access feeds for TS Channel, My Contributors, My Users, and My Forums.

If you have purchased a Contributor Subscription or Platform Subscription, you are currently allowed to post to your page. You may also upload your own podcasts, video blogs, newsletters, and even eBooks. You will also be able to upload a profile picture and insert your bio on this page.

 

How do I track My Activity on the platform?
To view all of your activity, click My thinkspot and then click on My Activity.  Here you will see any comments to posts, podcasts or videos you have made. 

 

How do I provide feedback?
If you encounter a problem on the site or have a suggestion as to how we can improve our site, we encourage you to submit your feedback. Simply click on the SMILEY FACE button located at the bottom left side of the screen. You may also email us directly at support@thinkspot.com for longer submissions. If you are notifying us of an issue, please provide sufficient detail describing the issue. 

Feedback is actively monitored by our team.  While not all requests or suggestions can be accommodated and while we may not respond to all feedback, we actively view and consider all feedback received.

 

Why am I unable to upload a profile picture?
If you purchased any type of subscription, you will be allowed to upload a profile picture. Guests do not have the ability to upload profile pictures.

 

Why am I unable to use memes?
In accordance with thinkspot’s commitment to quality discourse and long-form discussion, we do not allow the use of memes when commenting on posts.

 

How do I follow another user?
You may search for a specific user or click on their username to access their page.  Once you have clicked on their page, there is a Follow button under their name on the left side.  Once you follow another user, their activity across the platform will show up on your User Posts feed on the My thinkspot page. This provides users with the opportunity to readily access intellectually stimulating conversations, comments, or ideas from other users they deem worth following.

 

BETA QUESTIONS

Will there be other Contributors?
Yes! We have a number of additional Contributors we are waiting to unveil as we progress through our beta period. Once we are out of our beta period, we will be opening the platform to contributors and will be announcing this. 

 

Is this the final and complete version of the site?
No! We are continually updating the site pursuant to user feedback.  In addition, we have a wide range of features and functionality under development that we are excited to roll out in the coming months. You can expect to see improvements and new features across the site.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

Will thinkspot be offering an App?
The platform is optimized for mobile browsing and offers all features on mobile devices.  We are trying to stay away from exposing our platform to the control of the larger corporations who control the App world, which is why we have not yet developed an App.

However, we have received many requests for an App, so it may be a necessary part of our development plan.  We will not undertake this new development until we are finished with our beta period.
