Description

Join writer, producer, and director Marshall Herskovitz for a discussion of trauma and its relationship to woke culture. Marshall has been doing a lot of thinking about the role of trauma in history and how it's perceived today, and how the problems with woke culture are actually part of a larger problem with understanding and healing from trauma. This raises challenges both for those who identify with woke culture -- how they might misunderstand the pathway out from trauma -- and for those who despise it -- how they might be unwilling to face some difficult truths of their own. Before we consign wokeness to the trash heap of history, is it possible that it's in fact a necessary stop on the road to liberation?

Dr. Graham Walker will join Marshall as moderator. Graham brings a wealth of expertise from his professorial days and as one of the leaders at the helm of the Independent Institute, a preeminent think tank in Oakland California.
