I do personally and regularly create "miracles", things that everyone, including the experts, think are "impossible". So to listen to people speculating about it...well it is odd.

I did a bit of investigation of Nick Land and his associates and "accelerationism". Wow, it is sort of...well it is a bit much.

There is a huge group of liberal arts and humanities types who like to attach themselves to the extremes of STEM and make all kinds of crazy predictions based on it.

It is a bit like the World Economic Forum, in a way, except these humanities types have no resources. The WEF types are loaded with cash and want to exploit the advances in STEM for their own selfish and greedy ends. The humanities types just want to hype assorted almost "science fiction futures".

Speaking as a STEM person, who actually personally CREATES these technologies that all these other characters are frantic about in one way or another, this is a sort of odd phenomenon.
