Is There More To The 'Trans' Phenomenon Than Meets The Eye?

I first heard an interesting theory about the explosion of trans people a couple of years ago. A friend suggested to me that the incredible profusion of plastics in our environment might be connected with the growing number of people who identify as "trans".

Of course, some of the "trans phenomenon" has all the hallmarks of a social contagion or mass psychosis. We are familiar with these because they are recurring phenomena. For example, "anorexia nervosa" and "bulemia" are two prominent instances of crazy beliefs spreading like wildfire through a population.

I might also mention the "alien abduction craze" that was popular in the 1970s. Well over half the American population claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrial space aliens in their sleep, and almost invariably, "anally probed". Does anyone really seriously believe that there was any reality behind this craze?

People are very suggestible. Otherwise, hypnosis would not work at all. Otherwise, placebos would not work. And so on.

Our efforts to push children and young adults into transitioning, for huge profits, and creating a lifetime of suffering in the wake of these transitioning processes might be ill-advised. Most young people who feel some discomfort with their bodies come to grips with this by the age of 20. And many turn out to be homosexual, so we might very well be eliminating homosexuals and lesbians by extreme interventionist measures.

This is what Iran does. Iran gives homosexuals a choice; transition or be executed. As a result, Iran currently holds the world record for transsexual surgical interventions.

The famous computer scientist Alan Turing was caught engaging in homosexual activities. And so he was sentenced to injections of female hormones. The experience was so miserable that Alan Turing committed suicide, a massive loss to science and technology.

Recently, I came across an interesting interview that might have some relevance for this 'plastics in the environment' hypothesis:

Endocrine Disruptors - Common Chemicals that Severely Alter Hormones - Dr. Shanna Swan

Shanna H. Swan, Ph.D., is one of the world’s leading environmental and reproductive epidemiologists and a professor of environmental medicine and public health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. An award-winning scientist, her work examines the impact of environmental exposures, including chemicals such as phthalates and Bisphenol A, on men’s and women’s reproductive health and the neurodevelopment of children.

Please check out Dr. Swan's new book, "Count Down" - How Our Modern World Is Threatening Sperm Counts, Altering Male and Female Reproductive Development, and Imperiling the Future of the Human Race By Shanna Swan, PhD, with Stacey Colino

In this video we explore how endocrine disruptors, in everyday things we use, are altering our hormones and reproductive systems. We've seen a massive decline in testosterone, fertility and other markers. Could this explain some of the social changes as well?

    0:00 - New Findings

    3:44 - What's causing this?

11:11 - Anogenital Distance (in males called "taint" or "gooch", and in females called the "grundle")

15:52 - Where does this all lead?

    17:46 - Population Decline

One important thing to note - products that don't contain phthalates and Bisphenol are more expensive. Services, like assisted reproduction, can only be accessed by those who can afford it. The ability to have a baby has become something of a class issue as well.

-grundle is about 50% the size of gooch naturally

-the more testosterone in utero, the bigger the AGD or Anogenital Distance

-if a male has a lower AGD, he will be feminized and have a lower sperm count and be more likely to be infertile

    -ART=assisted reproductive technology

-NM has lowest fraction of babies by ART, 0.5%, MA has highest fraction of babies by ART, 4.5%

-US overall has 1.7% by ART

-Males born through ART have low sperm counts

-Men with low sperm counts die younger

-dog fertility is decreasing rapidly, with link to environmental contaminants

-Polar bears are becoming more feminized because of pesticides in the Arctic, even those that are no longer in use

-women with more pthalates in their body have less sexual satisfaction

-this might be behind the tendency for young people to have less sex now

-weed killers can make male frogs lay eggs

-hormone disrupters can make animals homosexual

-increase in gender dysphoria, at least self reported, with time

    silent generation: 0.8%

    Baby Boomers: 2.6%

    Generation X: 4.2%

    Millennials: 10.5%

    Generation Z: 20.8%

    -Skin cream can include phthalates

-men should bank a semen sample (costs 1000 bucks to start, and maybe 150 dollars per year after)

    -have your sperm tested

Of course, this does not provide definitive evidence that something biochemical is going on. But it does make one wonder...
