‘This paper interrogates transability — the need or desire to transition from supposed binary states of physical ability to physical disability -- by positioning it within the boundaries of acceptable body modification.’

Stevens, Interrogating Transability: A Catalyst to View Disability as Body Art, 2011

Readers will find in a Post of the past the term ‘poly-trans.’ That is, that trans-gender theory is being extended to trans-race, trans-age, trans-species, trans-humanism . . . and now trans-able-ism.

Now, any left activist who argues that a fifteen-year-old has the right to choose breast amputation must logically argue that likewise children should be allowed to have their limbs amputated.

    So we’re in uncharted territory.

And we note that two related things are distinguishable.

The first is that the mental illness of BIID exists – or did until about six weeks ago -- so there’s a complex discussion to be had around this.

The second is that trans-ableism will surely follow the same trajectory as transgender has. That is, the devolutionary left will be soon be labelling as transphobes those who think that a fifteen-year-old is not mature enough to decide to have her legs amputated.
