‘Many of us [name of group withheld] would feel physically sick if we found ourselves around homos.’

In case anyone wonders if I’m going soft, here’s a heads-up: my approach to stymieing ‘trans’ is probably the most radical of anyone on this forum.

This is in part because ‘trans’ is the ugliest non-revolutionary left-wing campaign I’ve ever seen, and in part because ‘trans’ has become the poster child of the suppression of free speech.

However, it niggles me every day, for example, that anti-left elements that I am working with have their positions on ‘trans’ joined at the hip to other simply startlingly out-of-touch social notions.

The positions of these particular folks strikes me as ‘We refuse to study the issues. We demand that everything stays exactly as suits us.’

And this is what makes a ‘postcolonialist’ analysis at the very least worth looking at.

The elephant in the room is how very much less traction ‘LGBTQI’ would have had if basic civil liberties for non-heterosexual people had been allowed decades before it was.

Sorry, I don’t think there’s any doubt about this claim at all.
